MARKET SUMMARY OF 28 DEC 2015

The Sensex opened at 25,859, touched an intra-day high of 26,073 and low of 25,857. It finally ended with a gain of 195 points at 26,034.The Nifty opened at 7,863 hitting a high of 7,937 and low of 7,863, before ending with a gain of 64 points at 7,925. On the global front, China's Shanghai Composite index was down 3% and Hang Seng closed down 0.8%.In Europe, the FTSE 100 was marginally up 0.2%. On the other hand, DAX and the CAC 40 were marginally down 0.4%, respectively. Out of 1,784 stocks traded on the NSE, 683 declined and 859 advanced today.
