Nifty was gap up
opening today and ended at 8077 made low of 8043.Banknifty ended at 17525 and
made a low of 17479. The Sensex slipped over 85 points in early
trade today as participants booked profits after two sessions of gains amid
sustained capital outflows and a weak trend at other Asian markets. Wednesday,
rising 0.55 percent ahead of outcome of Fed’s two-day meeting tonight. banking,
oil & gas, capital goods, PSU and IT sector stocks succumbed to
profit-booking. Index heavyweights like Reliance Industries, L&T and HUL
drove the market higher.

Stocks of
Hind Unilever, Tata Steel, Cipla, Infosys, Coal India, Dr Reddy’s, HDFC, Hero MotoCorp, Wipro, Bharti Airtel, TCS and Sun
Pharma were trading in the positive zone with gains up to 2.31 per cent.
Continuing its winning streak for the fourth straight session, Markets
continued their upward march for the fourth straight session today with the
Sensex rising 146 points or 0.55 per cent
to 26,832.66 driven by rally in Cipla, amid above-normal progress in
monsoon. on sustained buying by investors in blue-chip stocks amid a
firming trend in Asian markets ahead of US Fed policy announcement. The moot point, however, is to remain at higher levels
and climb further up to test levels beyond the 8100-mark for taking out 8130/8141
would be very crucial for the market as well as the Nifty. On the other hand,
if it were to move down again on profit taking or for any other reason it will
first seek support between 8006 and 7993, and below that the range between 7956
and 7929 would once again do its bearish trend trying to provide a floor for
the market. It has been a relief rally after taking beating in earlier
sessions, Overall, the market has been in a range and that may continue for some
more time due to lack of major triggers.
